Gabriela Mayes
Gabriela Mayes is a writer and scholar based in Houston, TX. Her poetry, creative nonfiction, and academic research address issues in contemporary American culture, immigration, and environmental justice.
She has a PhD in Rhetoric and Public Culture from Northwestern University. Gabriela grew up in São Paulo, Brazil, where she was a contributing writer at Brazil's leading teen magazine.
