Gabriela Mayes is a Brazilian writer whose work spans poetry, nonfiction, and cultural criticism.
Her recent writing appears or is forthcoming in The Rumpus, The Westchester Review, Shelf Magazine, and Chiricú Journal.

While she's currently based in Houston, Texas, Gabriela grew up in São Paulo, where she was a contributing writer at Brazil's leading teen magazine.
